Golden Syrup Dumplings
This recipe surprised me when I first read it, it was not at all what I expected. When we started making the dumplings it was quite sticky and messy because we had to mix and roll them into balls with your hands. My partner and I always work well together and it was easy to make these.
Part 2, Pumpkin Scones
Today when we made pumpkin scones it was quite fun. We got the cooked pumpkin and started cooking, we put the whole container in the mix instead of a just one cup but it was ok because in the end product we couldn't taste it. It was fun kneading the mix and it was a good experience to make this recipe in particular because it was nothing like what I thought it would be.

Part 1, Pumpkin Scones
Today in hospo we had to cook the pumpkin for the pumpkin scones, they needed to be done so that the pumpkin was cold and ready to go into the next lesson. My partner and I didn't have any difficulties the pumpkin just took a lot longer to cook then we thought. Hopefully the pumpkin scones will go to plan and will taste good.

ANZAC Slice
In this lesson we made ANZAC Slice, the recipe was quite straight forward and easy to understand. We didn't use any new ingredients but instead of using self-raising flower we used plain flower and bicarb soda which is used in the same way. My partner and I didn't have any problems with the method and the slice tasted delicious.
Lesson 1, Term 3
On the first lesson back we were in the computer lab, we went over what we will be doing this term and downloaded the new recipe book. This term we will be doing different cultures of cooking and we are starting with traditional Australian foods.
